V-Beam delivers the safety and efficacy of
the clinically proven pulsed dye laser (PDL) while minimizing the problematic
side effects of postoperative bruising, commonly referred to as purpura.
It features Candela's patented Dynamic Cooling Device (DCD) to protect
the epidermis. The system comes in a choice of four colors, an industry
first, and is available at a fraction of the price of competitive systems.
Effective Treatment for Vascular
Lesions
V-Beam's versatility lets you address a wide
range of vascular lesions: facial spider veins, rosacea, scars, stretch
marks and warts, to more advanced applications such as leg veins and debilitating
port wine stains and hemangiomas.
Ultra-long Pulse Duration
V-Beam's user-adjustable laser pulse duration
(1.5-40 msec) features Candela's innovative Ultra-Long pulse duration.
The Ultra-Long pulse duration delivers laser energy to targeted blood
vessels over longer periods of time, resulting in a gentle heating effect
and uniform coagulation. By heating targeted vessels more gently, V-Beam's
Ultra-Long pulse duration can avoid problematic purpura seen with earlier
versions of PDL technology.
Integrated Dynamic Cooling Device
Candela's patented DCD applies cryogen to the
epidermis just prior to each laser pulse for quick and effective cooling
and protection of the epidermis. This increases patient comfort during
treatment and enables physicians to deliver higher fluences to skin for
safe and effective treatment. And DCD provides these benefits without
impeding user visibility or slowing treatment speed. V-Beam is the only
PDL with DCD integrated into the system.
Large Spot Sizes
V-Beam incorporates several large spot sizes
to cover greater surface area, enabling you to reduce the duration of
each procedure. V-Beam's exclusive vessel-matching system includes a 3x10mm
elliptical spot size ideal for matching the linear configuration of facial
and leg telangiectasia.
With the 595 nm wavelength, high power fluences and integrated Dynamic Cooling Device, V-Beam has the ideal combination of parameters to deliver optimal results.
